Mary Lou Scallon

Mary Lou Scallon, 92, was born on October 21, 1931, to Nellie Evans. She passed away on May 5, 2024, at the Springs of Brinkley in Brinkley, Arkansas. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Evans, her first husband and the father to her four children, Robert Bennett, and Bob Scallorn, her second husband. Mary was the last surviving of her 6 siblings, Ray Evans, Betty Morris, Melvin Cook, Raymond Cook, Harold Cook and Carolyn Terry. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Rodger and Melinda Bennett, Jerry Bennett, Randy and Linda Bennett all of Holly Grove, Arkansas and Bonnie and Jerry Varner of Hot Springs, Arkansas, her grandchildren, Stacy Bennett, Tracy Bennett, Shaun and Katherine Bennett, Kevin and Erin Varner, Michael and Sarah Varner, Wesley and April Bennett, Jennifer Michas, Karla Selles, and also her great grandchildren, Ryce Bennett, River Bennett, Ben Varner, Mary Kate Varner, Jack Bennett, Aubrey Selles and two Bonus great grands, Burke and Winnie Adams. She is also survived by 4 sisters in laws, Kathy Cook, Marie Cook, Gertrude Richardson, Teena Dailey, Beverly Gestring and a host of the sweetest nieces, nephews and friends. Also, Mary Lou, will be leaving behind her best friend, Clara Spears and some others that were very important in her life at The Springs of Brinkley, Nurse Penny and Nurse Lori, Nurses’ aides, Kaitlyn, McKenzie, Hayley and Tori and Hospice Nurses Adam and Hannah and hospice aide Elizabeth. As per her request, there will be a graveside service on May 7th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Upper Cemetery.
