Elizabeth Fay Nail, 79, died after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. "Liz" was born and raised in Dark Corner. She married Billy Don Nail on July 20, 1960, and was a lifelong resident of Cotton Plant. Elizabeth was of Missionary Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Cotton Plant. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and vacations with her family and friends, but her greatest love was her family. Taking care of and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her great joy and was for what she lived for.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Elzy and Ova (Lester) Walker; her husband of 56 years, Billy Don Nail; her daughter, Janet Nail; three sisters; and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, of the home, Kathy Nail Roberson; three sisters, Molly Quinn, of Cotton Plant, Oma Jenkins, of Covington, Louisiana, and Barbara Hebert, of Luling, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Tabby Kostreva and Cyle Tiner, of McCrory, Anthony Nail and Destiny Davis, of Wynne and Trevor Roberson, of McCrory; five great-grandchildren, Abigail, Mabry, Kingston, and Job, of McCrory, and Dehlila, of Bald Knob; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law.

Services were the First Baptist Church in Cotton Plant on March 10 under the direction of Fowler Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Cotton Plant Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church of Cotton Plant.
