Lisa Marie McGoy October 20, 1969 - December 17, 2019

Lisa McGoy, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Brinkley, died at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, at the age of 50. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan to Margie McGoy and McKenzie McNeal Sr.

Lisa attended the Wheatley and Brinkley Public School Systems. She was a graduate of the Brinkley High School class of 1988.

While growing up in Brinkley, Lisa and her family attended the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, under the leadership of Elder Willie Lee Harvey and Mother Lee Etta Harvey. In later years, she became a member of Kingdom Gospel Ministries in Brinkley, under the leadership of her sister, Pastor Brekie Annette Burnett.

After moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma in the early 1990s, Lisa worked as a Cashier for Warehouse Market before retiring due to failing health.

“Mona Lisa” as Lisa was lovingly called by family and friends, enjoyed fashion and at one time wanted to pursue a career as a fashion model.
A grandchild, her father, a brother Phillip “Snapper” McGoy, a sister Janice Robinson; maternal grandmother Mary McGoy and paternal grandmother Lebirda McNeal all preceded Lisa in death.

Survivors are: nine sons: Joseph McGoy, Jeremy Jones, Derek Jones, Terrell Jones, Rayfield Ross, Terrell Ross, Latarrius Williams, Kajuan Richard and Joevan Richard, all of Tulsa, OK; three daughters: Dellisha McGoy, Alaysha Richard and Z’nyhria McGoy, all of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren; her mother Margie McGoy, of Brinkley; seventeen brothers: Floyd McNeal, Joseph McNeal, Gary (Wanda) McGoy, Jerome (Vickie) McGoy and Roderick Hardiman, all of Brinkley; David McGoy and Samuel McGoy, both of Tulsa, OK; Aaron McGoy of Mankato, MN; Dwight Solomon, of Chicago, Ill; Harold McNeal, Ronald (May) McNeal, and McKenzie McNeal Jr., all of Memphis, TN; George McNeal, of Columbus, OH; Curtis McNeal, of Miami, FL; Michael Eckwood and Lloyd Eckwood, both of Houston, TX; and Michael Stotts, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; seven sisters: Mary Ann Woods, of Brinkley; Brenda (Ed) Glover and Florestine Ellison, both of Little Rock; Brekie Annette (Cecil) Burnett, of Wheatley; Sheila (Ellious) Swanigan, of Houston, TX; Gwen Young, of Poplar Grove; and Denise Branscumb, of Sacramento, CA; three uncles, four aunts, and a host of other relatives and friends survive her.

Funeral services were held on December 28 at the Wheatley Civic Center, with Elder Kim L. Smith officiating. Interment took place at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Brinkley by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley. Pallbearers were: Floyd McNeal, Joseph McNeal, Gary McGoy, Jerome McGoy, David McGoy, Samuel McGoy, Aaron McGoy and McKenzie McNeal Jr.
