Helen Louise Aldridge December 2, 1942 - December 30, 2019

Helen Aldridge, of Brinkley, died in Dallas, Texas, with her son at her bedside, at the age of 77. She was born in Brinkley to the late Johnnie Aldridge and Alma Lee Morman.
Helen attended the Brinkley public schools and Marian Anderson High School in Brinkley.

Helen was a former employee of Van Heusen and Clay Cliff Nursing and Rehab Center both located in Brinkley. She possessed a great talent and love for sewing.

Helen was preceded in death by her son: Larry Aldridge, her paternal and maternal grandparents, and her parents; six brothers: Elbert Johnson, James Pye Jr., Marvin Stigall, Donald Stigall, Larry Joe Aldridge and Johnnie Aldridge; and three sisters: Virginia Stigall, Shirley Ann Davis and Jeanette “Doll” Burnette. Survivors are two sons: Stanley Aldridge and Lamont Aldridge; brothers: Issac Aldridge, Donnell Aldridge, B.W. Aldridge, Glen Brown; sisters: Dorothy Jean Moore, Viola Miller, Gwendolyn Aldridge, Brenda Aldridge; grandchildren: Stanley Aldridge Jr., Stephanie Aldridge, Stacey Webb, Victoria Webb, Dizzle Rae Webb, Stephone Webb, Adisha Aldridge, Josiah Aldridge, and Evan Aldridge numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 11 at the Wheatley Civic Center, with Lamont Aldridge officiating. Internment took place at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Brinkley by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley. Pallbearers were: Antwan Metcalf, Jimmy Aldridge, Tom Aldridge, Timothy Miller, Troy Miller and Stanley Aldridge Jr.
