January 17, 2024

Janice Faye Taylor, 71, passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on January 8th, 2024. She was born as the 11th of 12 siblings in a small doctor’s office in Huges, Arkansas on October 5th, 1952, to the late Andrew Latham and Queenie Bracken Latham. It was also in Hughes on November 2nd, 1969, when she and Billy Wayne Taylor were married. One year later, they would move to Brinkley to make their home. Throughout her life Janice generated love. She was the Nanny to all who were blessed to cross her path. It did not matter if the bond was through blood or not, you were part of her family – from teams of hungry kids to friends and neighbors alike. The only way to cook according to Janice was with Love and Seasonings. She was known for her handwritten recipes ranging from pumpkin rolls to braciola. On the weekends her and Billy loved taking leisurely journeys to find new places to eat. Janice also loved to immerse herself in paperback novels and books written by Steven King, Dean Koontz, and John Grisham. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, and seven siblings, Richard Latham, Edward Latham, Frances Beggs, Bobby Latham, Patricia Dawson, Merle Latham, and Paul (Beth) Latham. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Billy Taylor; son, Christopher Wayne Taylor, daughter, Shannon (Robert) Fleming; brother, Larry (Linda) Latham; three sisters, Barbara (Paul) Parker, Shirley (R.M.) Luke, and Freda Crestman; six grandchildren, Berghan Taylor, Alex Fleming, Gauge McCombs, Karis Fleming, Baehr Taylor, and Badgley Taylor. There will be a celebration of life from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on January 27th at Fowler Funeral Home.
