Betty Jane Lovell

Betty Jane Lovell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 18, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 23, 1949, in Moro, AR, to her parents Hayes Bryant and Ruby Dell Warren.

Betty's life was a testament to love, kindness, and selflessness. She touched the hearts of many through her unwavering devotion to her family and community. Betty's spirit will forever live on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Betty found her soulmate in Jeff Lovell, whom she married on September 2, 1991. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Betty's dedication to her family was unparalleled.

Throughout her life, Betty found joy in her various pursuits. From working at Van Heusen Shirt Factory and serving as a secretary at Terminix, to owning B & J Market (Country Store). Betty's work ethic was admirable. She found solace in reading romance novels, mowing the lawn, Sunday shopping, and showering children with love and care. Despite being unable to have children of her own, Betty's nurturing spirit touched the lives of countless individuals in the community.

Betty and Jeff were recognized as Citizens of the Year in Brinkley in 2018, a testament to their commitment to making a positive impact in their community. They were also proud members of the New Church Fellowship in Brinkley, where they found strength in their faith.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Hayes and Ruby Warren; Sisters, Emma Vondran, Shirley Rollins, and Barbara Belcher.

She is survived by her loving husband Jeff, their daughter Jennifer (Roger) Moore from West Memphis, and grandchildren Zach Moore and Carlee Moore. She is also survived by the “daughter she never had," Robin (Jason) Baxter from Brinkley, her sister Patsy (John) Johnson and sister-in-law Tenie Bullard, who held a special place in her heart; As well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own children.

In the quiet moments of reflection, may we remember Betty for the light she brought into the world, the lives she touched, and the love she shared. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Services were Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the New Fellowship Church in Brinkley and burial at Oaklawn Cemetery. Arrangements by Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home of Brinkley.
