Sherrion Paulette Holmes Smith

Sherrion Paulette Holmes Smith, age 73, embraced the arms of the Lord on November 6th, 2025. Sherrion was born on August 27, 1952 to Mary Virginia Miller and Paul Holmes. She began her life in Clarendon, AR and attended Clarendon High School.
Sherrion was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and believed greatly in the power and the word of our Lord and Saviour. Sherrion moved from Clarendon and lived in various places.
She touched the lives of many and made lasting impressions along the way. Sherrion decided to settle in her hometown of Clarendon. She enjoyed reading, playing Pokemon Go, talking to family and friends, fishing, camping, family gatherings and watching the latest Hallmark movie with her husband. Her greatest joy in life was playing with and spoiling her grandchildren. To her, her babies hung the moon. Sherrion was a very kind and generous soul. She always made space at her table for anyone in need, her door always open, her ears always available to listen, her hand always ready to grab another’s for guidance, help or support and her heart readily available for those she loved.
Sherrion was greeted at Heaven’s Gate by her parents, Mary Virginia Miller and Paul Holmes; her sisters, Betty Gomez, Connie Montgomery and Mary Miller; her brothers, Donald Holmes, Paul Holmes and James Miller; her daughter, Shannon Troy and her granddaughter, Teresa Coleman.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Smith, of Clarendon, AR; her sons, Christopher Ybarra and wife, Eunice Ybarra of Ft. Worth, TX, Christopher Smith and spouse, Keristen Bennett of Lonoke, AR and Aaron Christian and wife, Tommie Christian of Holly Grove, AR.; her daughter, Tiffany Smith of Clarendon, AR; her brothers, Charles Holmes of Tolar, TX and Bobby Holmes of Tampa Bay, FL; her lifelong best friend and sister, Glenda Kay Vandergriff of Clarendon, AR; her lifelong best friend and cousin, Lavena Slaughter of Brinkley, AR; her nephew, Daniel Wolf of Clarendon, AR; her niece, Lori Howell of Little Rock, AR; her beloved grandchildren, Carlin Ybarra, Christopher Ybarra, Jordynn Bennett, Kyra Capps, Claire Capps, Katherine Templeman, Trinitie Warwick and Brian Warwick; honorary children, Justin Skinner and Bryan Kersey and many more dear family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Sherrion Holmes Smith will be held Saturday, November 22nd at 2:00pm at Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Clarendon, AR. The family will lay her to rest privately at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone for their generosity, kind words and prayers during this difficult time. Sherrion is loved and greatly missed.
