Rosemary Ratliff-Cartwright, of Holly Grove, died at her home, at the age of 65. Rosemary was born in Holly Grove to Richard Charles Ratliff and Ada Mae Cox. She was the youngest daughter born to this union. She received her education from the Holly Grove Public School System.

“Lupee” or “Mama”, as Rosemary was affectionately known, was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Holly Grove for several years, where she was a faithful and dedicated member.

Rosemary was a homemaker. During the early years of her marriage, she was employed with Riceland Foods in Stuttgart, where she worked for more than 5 years.

Her parents, her son Marcus “Big T” Cartwright; two brothers: Richard Ratliff Jr. and Ray Ratliff; two sisters: Doristeen Wallace and Betty Brown all preceded Rosemary in death. Survivors are: her husband Billy Cartwright, of Holly Grove; two sons: Brandon Cartwright of Holly Grove; and Billy (Tonya) Cartwright Jr. of Jeffersonville, IN; four daughters: Lelisa (Charles) Cartwright and Deborah (James) Walker both of Little Rock; Terri Cartwright of Clarendon; and Sandra Cartwright of Stuttgart; twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two brothers: Roy (Betty) Ratliff and Roger Ratliff both of Holly Grove; four sisters: Wilsie Smith, Virginia Fletcher and Macola Ratliff all of Holly Grove, and Mildred Wright of Little Rock; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 2 at Clarendon/Holly Grove High School Auditorium in Clarendon, with Reverend Reggie Rose officiating. Interment took place at Hayes Cemetery in Holly Grove by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley. Pallbearers were: Rockchild Wallace III, Glen Banks, Theodie Wright, Tyrone Grayson, Carl Wright Jr., Charles Clay Sr., Charles Clay Jr. and Dewayne Coleman.
