Sherry Chunn- Veasley April 8, 1970 – September 18, 2020

Sherry Marcia Chunn-Veasley of Little Rock, formerly of Brinkley, passed away at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 50. Sherry was born in Brinkley to Richard Chunn Jr. and Barbara Adell-Chunn. She was the youngest of four children born to this union.
She was a member the Church of Jesus Christ in Jacksonville for more than 17 years, where she served as the church’s treasurer, Praise Team leader, Sunday school teacher and Praise dance coach. While growing up in Brinkley, she was baptized at and a longtime member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
Sherry attended the Brinkley Public School System. She was a member of the Brinkley High School Class of 1988. She went on to continue her education by attending the University of Central Arkansas at Conway for 1 year and Philander Smith College at Little Rock for I year while pursuing a music education degree with a minor in mathematics. She was employed as a customer service manager for Kroger in Little Rock for many years.
Survivors are her husband of 28 years, Tony Veasley Sr., of Little Rock; two sons, Tony Veasley, Jr., of Little Rock, and Pierre (Terrica) Thornton, of Memphis, TN; three daughters, Victoria Veasley, of Little Rock, Donyelle (Seth) Best-McKanna and Tionna Veasley, both of North Little Rock; two grandchildren, Mason McKanna and Jaxson McKanna, both of North Little Rock; her parents, Richard Chunn Jr. and Barbara Adell-Chunn, of Brinkley; two brothers, Richard (Gloria) Chunn III, of Atlanta, GA and Anthony Broadway, of Brinkley; six sisters, Kathryn Veasley and Latoria Beasley, both of Little Rock, Angela McMillion, of Brinkley, and Mary (Jeff) Reed-Seyton, Beverly Solomon and Sandra Solomon, all of Chicago, Ill; and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
